Sylhet, despite being a culturally rich region, has long suffered from a lack of institutional education in fine arts and technology-based creative fields. To bridge this gap, the Professional Arts and Technical Institute was established under the Sylhet Art and Autism Foundation. It is now a Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB)-affiliated institution.
Currently, the institute offers two one-year certified programs:
Certificate Course in Fine Arts
Certificate Course in Computer
Through these courses, students are gaining both creative and digital skills. On one hand, they are exploring the depth of artistic expression, while on the other, they are acquiring modern technological knowledge essential for today’s world. These programs meet the needs of the time—where both creativity and technical skills are vital for youth empowerment.
These short-term, skill-based courses provide a valuable opportunity for local youth, particularly those seeking to become self-reliant through employment or entrepreneurship.
Our vision is to make this institute a central hub of art, technology, and skill-based education in Sylhet—setting an example for others across the country.
I earnestly seek the cooperation of parents, educators, students, and well-wishers to help expand this initiative and build a brighter, self-sufficient future for our next generation.
Thank you.
